What I Remember
Movement through urban environments induces levels of overstimulation that result in a blurring of memory. As repetitive days move into the past,
their uneventful moments seep together until indistinguishable. Only moments of shock or sudden change will resolve when recalled.
Process
What I Remember was filmed using a bike light hacked as a camera mount. Several passes through New York's busiest intersections and public spaces were taken through
a day of traveling on bicycle. The vibration from the bicycles movement causes the footage to come out impressionistic and kinetic.
The long video takes were then selected and compressed using a custom time blurring algorithm.
